Preparing For Your Studio Session
Hello.
We are delighted to welcome you to our studio for your family photoshoot. Our studio is the perfect setting for families of every shape and age, from new babies to college kids home for the holidays. We use the great outdoors for most family photography, but our studio is where we bring everyone together when the season, the schedule, or simply your family's preference calls for it.
Scheduling Your Session
If you have little ones in the mix, try to schedule around their natural mood: avoid nap and meal times, when the crank factor tends to be highest.
For families coordinating around college breaks, holidays, or multiple work schedules, we know timing can be the hardest part. Reach out as early as you can, especially around the holidays, our calendar fills quickly during peak weeks.
What To Wear
Our studio palette is natural colors, wood tones, neutrals, and muted tones. That scheme works beautifully with our sets, but we're flexible if you'd prefer brighter colors.We don't want everyone to match (think: solid shirts and khakis for the whole family). Instead, we encourage coordinating, choosing a color palette and weaving those colors throughout. Try working within a color family like earth tones, nautical, or grey/blush/sage.
For babies and toddlers specifically, we recommend rompers over dresses, they photograph better and hold up through a session far more comfortably. For everyone else, wear what makes you feel good, and double-check for stains, holes, or wrinkles before you head out.
A Note on Footwear
Please plan to bring a clean, dry pair of shoes to change into for your session. To keep our studio looking its best, we ask that outdoor shoes stay in the waiting room, especially during winter, when salt, slush, and mud are unavoidable. Simply swap into your "studio shoes" when you arrive, and you're all set.

Choosing Your Set
We typically create a few unique sets in studio to photograph your family on. Let us know in advance if you have preferences, and feel free to email any inspiration, themes, or ideas ahead of time.
If you arrive and don't love one of the prepared sets, just tell us, (it won't hurt our feelings). These are your pictures, and we want you to love them.
If your session includes a little one, we know attention spans run short. We typically start with combos that include the youngest ones. However, some kids need a moment to warm up, so we're happy to start with whichever combination of family and individual shots works best.
After Your Session
You'll receive a link to your gallery within 14 days. We also typically post a "sneak peek" on Facebook within 24 hours, unless you let us know you'd prefer we don't. Feel free to tag yourself or share it to your profile.
Mini-sessions: your gallery will contain the number of edited images you pre-paid for, and you'll receive a PIN to download them.
Full sessions: your gallery will contain 30+ edited images, which you can purchase as prints or digital images.
Galleries expire in 1 week. There is a $25 administrative fee to reload expired galleries.
