Mercy Street Studio is a happy little photography studio located in South Berwick Maine. Over the last decade we've photographed thousands of wonderful, beautiful people, making us one of the Seacoast's largest and most successful modern portrait studios. We are so grateful you're here and so grateful for our part in adorning the pages of your family's story. We are staffed by six people-loving photographers and a magical assistant.
Named Maine's 2018 Portrait Photographer of the Year, Erin's photographic style is modern and fun. Her sessions are relaxed and informal with the goal of capturing the inner spirit and beauty of each person she photographs.
Her photography has been featured on book covers, in numerous magazines, and on national television. Erin has been trained and mentored by some of the best photographers from around the world. She also teaches photography locally and her articles on photography have been featured in national trade magazines. Her educational background is in business, where she holds a Master's Degree in Human Resources. She has always been drawn towards people!
Erin is a mother of four. She is passionate about orphan advocacy, chocolate, and Jesus.
Lynn joined Mercy Street in 2015. At the time she was working in pediatric dentistry, which proved to be a fantastic segue for a photography career in terms of getting kids to "smile".
Lynn's quick wit and fun personality instantly puts everyone at ease, which is evident by the beautiful images she creates. She has a tremendous eye for making every day moments magical. Her interest in photography blossomed when she became a mom. Lynn has two children at home and knows the lyrics to Paw Patrol by heart! Her superpower is winning kids over with her big smile, kind nature, and silly ways. Lynn has lots of patience and even more fun up her sleeves.
Lynn is an avid runner, who enjoys wandering around Target and seeing how much she can accomplish during naptime.
Sarah joined Mercy Street in the spring of 2016 as our newborn photographer. Sarah's creativity & photographic talent, paired with baby whispering skills have made her one of the most sought after newborn photographers in the seacoast.
Sarah's newborn work has earned her highly coveted blue ribbons at Maine's PPA print competition. With a background in social work, Sarah has always been drawn toward a profession where she could love and help people. Newborn photography provides her with that opportunity, by preserving the most precious memories for families.
Sarah is a mom of two, she is passionate about the outdoors, coffee, Jesus, and repurposing just about anything.. especially if it involves spray paint.
Cathi joined the Mercy Street team in 2021. Cathi is a technology buff and high school computer programming teacher. Cathi is a 2023 nominee for NH Teacher of the Year! It only takes a moment in her presence to catch a glimpse of why students love her; she has a big heart and generous spirit.
Cathi teaches photoshop and enjoys photography of all kinds (she even has a drone that she "plays with"). Each summer she challenges herself to learn something new, last year it was the flute, several years ago it was photography. After that, she eagerly and generously practiced and honed her skills by photographing her students, friends and family members.
Cathi has three children, ten grandchildren, four fur-babies, and six chickens.
Lia joined Mercy Street in 2022 after admiring the talent of the Mercy Street team for years! She has always appreciated the art of photography, especially when it overlaps with her marketing and communications career.
With a background in education and animal rescue, Lia's favorite photography subjects are children, adults, and pets — especially when they're all in the same frame! As a Maine transplant, she cherishes the responsibility of capturing photographs in such a beautiful corner of the world.
Lia enjoys working around her little homestead of chickens, goats, cats, a dog, and gardens with her husband. If she's not at home or taking pictures, Lia can most likely be found out on the water.
Erin met Ivy in 2019 when she was closing her studio. It was clear that we had the same style of photography by the amount of newborn props we procured that day!
Fast forward to the fall of 2021 when we had more work than photographers, Erin reached out to Ivy to see if wanted to come shoot with us. Schedules didn't align that fall, but in 2022 the two met up again to discuss the idea of Ivy joining Mercy Street as a second newborn photographer.
Ivy and Sarah became fast friends and partners in newborn photography.
Ivy is a lover of life, outdoors, and adventure. She can be found frolicking in the snow and camping in the forests. She has two king cavalier babies, a heart of gold, and an infectious smile.
A long time client and lover of photography, Erin reached out to Rachel in 2021 to see if she would be interested in helping our studio.
By the grace of God, Rachel said yes and jumped into the busiest, craziest season. She made order out of chaos and is credited for saving Erin's life :-)
Rachel single-handedly manages our busy school and team photography operation, which amounts to the processing of thousands of photographs every spring and fall. And she does it all with a smile (perhaps the most miraculous part).
When she's not saving photographers lives, Rachel is busy with her wonderful family, including her husband and three beautiful daughters.
